…but they’re all browser or mobile games which I don’t have much to say about. I did start Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth and play for about an hour. It was fun enough, though I skipped about 15 minutes of talking at the start so I can’t 100% say I know what’s going on. But once that hour-long session was over, I didn’t feel like going back for more. That said, it was starting to feel pretty good around the point I quit so I’d like to finish one or two dungeons and give it a proper review in a few days’/weeks’ time.
Other stuff I’m playing:
Atelier Online: Yeah, you know it. For all my complaints, I’m still going strong. Getting an emulator was a game-changer, I tell you. I’m currently level 73, on chapter 38 out of 39 of the main story. Naturally I’m being stonewalled by yet another unfair boss who OHKOs my troops and gets three turns to every one of mine. Thus my mission now is to grind up to level 80 and strengthen my party by feeding them lots of food. I might as well do a few sidequests while I’m at it too.
Candy Crush Soda Saga: Mentioning it here because I said I would write about it when I reached level 2000, but I forgot and I’m already at 2240-ish. The update is postponed to level 2500, then.
Rakuen Seikatsu Hitsuji Mura: I posted when I started it five years ago, now I’m a few EXP away from level 50 so I’ll do a proper review on it and how it deliberately breaks the hearts of F2P players one of these days. Why do I love games that don’t love me back?
Granblue Fantasy: IIRC I said I would do the usual “state of the grid” post when I reached level 180, and that was a while ago. No rush though, because I’m going to be 180 for a while longer. I’m on a login bonus-only routine until the next magfest when I can continue FLBing Niyon and Seofon… but why? Like, what for? Honestly I’m a bit over GBF, but maybe there’s an exciting update around the corner, so you never know.
Aight, that’s what’s going on with me. See you when I see you.
I tried Persona Q for a while, half sleeping. I wasn’t particulary invested or bored until one of the characters ranted me about my maps being weak because I wasn’t drawing the walls… C’mon, dude, that’s automap for! If I wanted to draw I could make a comic book or something useful…
I went straight to the Settings and turned on the “Auto-Map” function, so it auto-draws all the walls for me. Mitsuru even complimented me on my mapping skills ~_^. The need to draw maps and avoid FOEs are the two factors that have kept me away from Etrian Odyssey and its clones all these years.
Funny, I kinda have the opposite issue. I’ve downloaded War of the Visions on my phone, but I just cannot bring myself to start it despite really wanting to play that game. Maybe I’ll try downloading it again on my tablet; giving that tablets look more like handhelds than phones, that could be enough to fool my brain and do the trick — not to mention that it will certainly be more comfortable to play.
That might work. Maybe. Sometimes you’ve just got to be in the mood for a certain game.
You can also try to prime the pump with the timer method. Set a visible alarm for 5 minutes or less, and tell yourself you’re only going to play the game for that long. It’s a good way to get yourself to start something you’ve been dreading, but whether you’ll continue past that 5 minutes is another question altogether.
Is there any other way to contact you apart from the comments?
I would like to tell you about my game, and if you can try it out and tell me what you think.
It’s a Steam game, not released yet, but there is a Free Demo.
I will put the link in the “Website”.
Ofer.
Thanks for the link! I can’t promise I’ll try it right away, but when I do play the demo I’ll write about it.
