Tsurugi no Machi no Ihoujin, the middle days

43 hours and 29 minutes is a little late for a ‘middle days’ report, but whatever. Tsurugi no Machi no Ihoujin isn’t that long a game, so by rights I should have been done by now. The delay is due to me wasting time returning to base to save every couple of minutes. Nowadays I’ve grown a little bolder so I hang around a little longer, counting on my running Divinity skill to get me out of serious trouble. I should be done before too long. Do please go on, this is most interesting

Bravely Default – Got a lot better!

bravely default love powerA few weeks ago I said I would give Bravely Default 10 more hours to get its act together before dropping it. I had played about 10 hours back then, now my save file reads 22:33, so I think I’ve been more than fair to it. And it has been more than fair to me, to give credit where credit is due. I don’t want to praise it too highly too soon because I tend to ‘jinx’ games that way, but yeah, I’m having a good time now. Do please go on, this is most interesting

Lord of Magna: Failed in Heaven (spoilers)

lord of magna front coverWas it the game that failed or was it me? Lord of Magna came to a rather abrupt and unsatisfying end after 13 hours and I can’t figure out why. Is it because I was playing on Easy? Did I make a wrong choice along the way? Was I expecting too much from a harem RPG to begin with? Do please go on, this is most interesting

Atelier Judie forever!

judie no atelier frontLiterally forever, because as far as I know Atelier Judie is the only mainline Atelier game with no deadline. 1 year, 10 years, 100 years, you can play as long as it takes until you achieve your objective, which is to send Judie back to her original timeline after an alchemy accident knocked her 200 years into the future.

Everything else you do until then is entirely up to you. You don’t even have to repay 50,000 cole (on a 10,000 loan) to your loanshark ‘friend’ Vitoss unless you want to. Heck, you don’t even have to finish the game. You can just go round in circles until you get tired and ditch theĀ  game. I’ve done it before. But let us not speak of it any more. I was young, and very very lazy. Do please go on, this is most interesting

Updates on all the games I’m playing

I haven’t gotten far enough in any one game to write a full post about it. Or maybe I’m just lazy. You figure it out.

Bravely_Default_screenshot_17Bravely Default – Got out of the Miasma Woods and to Florheim (?) with relatively little fuss. I haven’t played any more in a long, long time, but I did experiment with classes a bit. I changed everyone to a different class just for the kicks. Tiz went Monk -> White Mage -> Monk (he was a terrible mage), Edea went Black Mage -> Knight, Agnes went White Mage -> Black Mage and Ringabel went Monk -> Thief. I leveled all the classes up two or three times, but didn’t notice anything particularly special or exciting. Plus keeping all these classes effectively equipped is a pain. If you don’t equip them right they do terrible damage. Aarghhh… Back to original classes for everyone except Ringabel! Do please go on, this is most interesting
